I’ve always loved to write, and I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit. When I was little, I used to create picture books, complete with barcodes (sales and strategy, always).
I stumbled into copywriting while I was studying creative writing in college. A regular at the coffee shop I was working at asked me to help him with a brochure for his real estate business. My first gig! There were more projects, and referrals.
I quickly discovered a passion for learning more about different businesses and the psychology of marketing.
My first “real” copywriting job was in fashion e-commerce (think product descriptions - so many product descriptions). I worked in advertising for a while, too.
Over the years, I’ve worked with clients in a WIDE range of industries - everything from tech and SaaS, to home services and local businesses, to health and wellness coaches and companies. I’m naturally super curious and a researcher, so I appreciate the variety.
Which is why I love email marketing. Even for one client - or one product - there are so many angles and ideas to consider. So many stories to tell.
And then to be able to track how it all plays out to an audience? To make weekly reports and little optimization checklists and dream up strategic content calendars and the most *perfect* copy for a client? 😍 🤩
When I’m not working or being dramatic about emails, I am hanging with my little fam - I’ve got a (pretty cool) husband, a (rambunctious) 5-year-old son, and a (demanding) cat. I’m also a big-time reader and a fan of true crime podcasts and grocery shopping.
