This was one of the weekly emails sent to South Shore HVAC subscribers.

It uses social proof (the testimonial of a client and a picture) to highlight the potential savings of updating/maintaining a home’s HVAC systems.

The email also subtly addresses a common concern of potential customers: that they’ll be told they need to replace something when it may not be necessary.

Hey Mark,

This week, we got an email from customers Chris & Kassidy in Milton. And permission to share this picture:

[Picture of June 2024 electricity bill vs June 2025 electricity bill]

That’s their June 2025 electric bill of $206, down just over 35% from last year’s June bill of $320.

The story:

Chris & Kassidy called us on the first really hot day of summer last year.

Their AC wasn’t keeping up, and had been “old and struggling” for years.

We did a comprehensive (and free) audit of their HVAC system and found:

  • A leak in their duct system that was dumping cool area in their attic, meaning the system was working harder but the cool air was never reaching the rest of the house

  • A lagging motor on their compressor that was near failure and wasting energy

  • Old, dirty air filters that were blocking smooth system performance

We fixed the ductwork and replaced the air filters.

We advised them that while they could replace their entire system for maximum efficiency, their now-optimized system would probably last another 2-3 years with a new motor on the compressor, especially with regular maintenance.

They opted to replace the motor (under $200) and called us the next week to let us know that their home was cooler and even quieter with the fixes.

Plus, they didn’t have that nagging “the AC system is going to break soon” feeling anymore.

And the savings? Well, check out the bill comparison.

It’s already saved them hundreds.

And remember, repairing issues like leaky ducts improves overall HVAC efficiency – so it helps in those winter months, too.

If you’re feeling like your HVAC system isn’t operating at full efficiency, you’re probably right – most aren’t.

A few easy fixes can make a big difference in how comfortable your home is and how much it’s costing you each month.

Our HVAC audits are free and painless- give us an hour, and we’ll tell you exactly what’s going on with your system.

Stay Cool,
George
